Atlas Ranks Among Best Places to Work and Makes USF Fast 56 List

In late April, Atlas Professional Services received recognition as one of the best places to work in Tampa Bay and one of the fastest-growing companies run by University of South Florida graduates – both for five years in a row.

Best Places to Work

Atlas ranked #9 in the medium-sized company category for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work.

Best Places to Work aims to identify the top workplaces in Tampa Bay based on employee feedback. Employees received a survey with 30 questions in six key areas. Those included communication and resources, individual needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamics and trust in leadership. Atlas’s overall score was 93.61 out of 100.

“We spend one-third of our lives with our co-workers,” said Adrian Swaim, Atlas’s CFO, in the TBBJ’s article featuring the company. “Some of us see more of our co-workers than we do our families, depending on schedules. It is very important for every one at Atlas to really get along and feel like one big, albeit sometimes slightly dysfunctional, family.”

USF Fast 56

The USF Fast 56 identifies, recognizes and celebrates the world’s fastest growing businesses owned or led by University of South Florida graduates. Nominated companies are ranked by percentage of cumulative annual growth in revenue for the most recent three fiscal years. Atlas has made the USF Fast 56 every year since 2014.

“It’s not every day that you have an opportunity to be recognized by your university after completing your degree,” said Atlas President and CEO Greg Zolkos, who graduated from USF in 2000. “We have been very fortunate to receive this award for five consecutive years, making us one of the few with such a track record. And, beyond myself, about a quarter of our staff has degrees from USF.”
