This month’s post features One Source Medical Group, an Atlas client representing the Core Value of Integrity.

One Source Medical Group

Since 2007, One Source Medical Group has provided high-quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing systems, structures, measurements, and adaptive actions for the continuous improvement of services and durable medical equipment to customers nationwide. The company offers health care products related to diabetes – insulin pumps, testing supplies and continuous glucose sensors – as well as enteral nutrition ostomy and urology supplies.

One Source Medical Group is headquartered in Tampa. With 50 employees, the company also has offices in San Antonio, Texas; Augusta, Georgia; and Liberty, North Carolina. It is part of the One Source Global family of companies.

Integrity at One Source

Eric Sternberg, chief operating officer of One Source Medical Group and executive vice president of One Source Global, said that integrity plays a key role in the company’s success.

“We’re in the healthcare space, so we’re dealing with really sensitive issues when it comes to families,” said Sternberg. “If we don’t have the trust of our community, we won’t survive.”

Positive working relationships and excellent rapport between One Source’s customer service representatives and physicians, nurses, health coaches, medical assistants and healthcare administrators are key in serving clients at a high level. In addition, One Source is recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). This designation reflects the organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that demonstrate a higher level of performance and patient care.

“We are part of a community and we’re very engaged,” Sternberg said. “We don’t look at people as just ‘patients.’ We want everything they need to be done to the highest level, regardless of the situation.”

The Importance of Integrity Among Partners

Atlas has been providing Managed IT Services for One Source since Sternberg and his partner founded the company in 2007. Over the years, Atlas and its CEO and president, Greg Zolkos, have been a trusted business partner, according to Sternberg.

“There have been times when we were working with or considering other IT providers, and Greg has always been honest and transparent about what Atlas could or couldn’t do for us, even if it meant potentially losing business,” Sternberg said. “I appreciate that he’s always been upfront with us, and there have been times where he has stretched himself to help us. He’s the epitome of a true business partner.”

Sternberg said integrity is an important value across the board, including among referral sources, manufacturers and managed care partners.

“We strive to help each other because it’s all about best servicing the patient and the market,” Sternberg said. “And we also need to work with others with high integrity because our whole industry is held to very high standards, both by the community and the accreditation organizations.”

To sum up with quote from late British author Douglas Adams: “To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.”
